Three sent to Spain, but only one arrived, the other two being lost when their transport ship was sunk by Nationalist warships. The colour scheme shown is speculative, although part of the fuselage of the crashed 'plane is shown in a photograph.
Avia BH-33A single Avia BH-33, painted white, flew to Spain in the early days of the Civil War, losing it's machine guns and synchronization mechanism en route, but it's history in the conflict is not known.
